Is an inflatable boat sufficient for lake fishing?

I thought I’d buy one for my hubby for Fathers Day – I can’t afford a REAL one.
Canoes & kayaks were too pricey on craigslist or ebay/Amazon/etc ….if it’s a GOOD inflatable of a thick material?? I’ve read good reviews….

yah more often boats are pricey so some people use inflatable boats on fishing well as i see it works pretty fine for them
